Yeah, that's a nice one. It's a German handcrafted violin that was probably made to be a fiddle or for small ensembles... Back in the ye olden days people had to make their own music instead of popping in their earbuds, so a lot more people would know how to play instruments like this. It's not a concert violin because it's too fancy, concert violins tend to be very shiny and uniform-looking...
The Buy it Now price is actually not that bad... I've seen violins that were less quality go for over a $1000 in music stores around here.
The bow's ivory, but it's okay since it's an antique.
