It did. I think I might start using a random string of profanity like I do with my bank account. Or maybe I'll continue ignoring it. After all, you would have to know me pretty damn good to figure out that password, as in know me in RL about five years ago.

If anyone is reading this, I've been hearing rumors of ElJay freezing accounts until someone changed their password, not just giving them the warning. I'm wondering how accurate they are.

I dunno...I've been ignoring that message for a couple of months now, and my account hasn't been frozen yet.

I just found this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/elke_tanzer/683142.html), which I think is persuasive enough for me to change my account. Basically one compromised account not only threatens that one journal, but ElJay's servers and much, much more. I think if ElJay had explained the problem in detail, instead of saying 'change your password or else' there would be less bitching about it.

Over on JournalFen I've seen several different people with ElJay accounts tell of their freezings, so journals are being frozen, likely ones that ElJay thinks might be hacked. FYI.
