I love cats

Which I'm sure surprises the hell out of [livejournal.com profile] misora.

Anyways, my new kitty was making these pawing motions on the carpet, as if trying to dig a hole. At first I thought it was cute if puzzling, and then it occured to me as he made a plaintive little meow at me that maybe he wanted his litter changed. And indeed, his litter did need to be changed. So I changed it, put the pan on the floor and before I could refill it he hopped in and peed. In an empty litter pan. And then became very puzzled when he couldn't bury it.

I poured fresh stuff on top, and he went nuts. Kitty litter is now scattered across my kitchen.

If I were smart I would potty train my cat.

I won't say I told you so. :D

LOLOLOL

They take you over, I'm telling you. They're insidious. (But oh so fluffy and cute, and once their personalities have developed they're totally irresistable.)

:D Welcome to kitty ownership! And by that I mean cat owns you, like in Soviet Russia. XD

This kat totally took me over. And by 'take me over' I mean FOLLOWED ME HOME AND RAN INTO MY APARTMENT WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR.

(this admittedly better then my sister's cat, who sat outside her door and whined for a week until she let him in. Oh, and we think they have the same father, because coloration? Personality? EXACTLY THE SAME. lol)

Fortunately he's not nearly as fascinated with the birds as he was when he moved in. I think Wesley, my conure, may have bitten him a few times on his paws through the cage when I wasn't around because Ruffles (http://platedlizard.livejournal.com/43948.html) is keeping his distance.

We miss Wesley. Congrats on the first temp job. I always brought my lunch to mine
