I just spent more money then I EVER have on a cage for my iguana. It's a custom cage from Cages By Design, and it will look FANTASTIC once I get it.

So why am I getting a new cage for him? Well, the old one's trashed. I mean it. He has ripped huge holes in the plastic mesh, and I kno it's only a matter of time until he rips one big enough to escape. More-over, he has gotten a lot more active since I changed his light, he used to have two florescant UVB lights, which are really only effective to about 12 inches away. That meant that he had to lie down in one place for long periods of time to get any usable UVB. Not good. I replaced them with a Zoo Med Mercury Vapor bulb, which cast usable UVB up to 6 FEET away. End result? An iggy that shreds his newspaper trying to explore.

I can't wait for the new cage to come in.

The new one is totally enclosed, too, which means that it will trap heat and humidity, making it perfect for an iguana. The best part is that they have natural-looking ledges and logs (which I ordered), and a fantastic-looking background. I could have 'saved' about $600 by not getting those options, but I was weak.
