The weather, oh the weather.
Jan. 24th, 2008 05:30 pmDear Internetz,
It's been freezing ass cold here in Portland, OR the last couple of days, and now a fairly big cloud system moved in. NOAA is predicting freezing rain on Saturday, so we will see, I guess. Part of me really really wants a storm, with the ground frozen any snow that falls will stick. Part of me is remembering that similar conditions caused the massive flooding in '96. frozen ground+black ice from freezing rain+rain=flooding
It looks like its going to warm up a bit before that happens, hopefully. Seeing the Willamette nearly top its banks in '96 was scary. I'm worrying about flooding because we are expecting tons of rain. Plus being on the rag make me nervous sometimes, go me.
In other news, I'm finding WWWWII to be fairly amusing. Usually I just roll my eyes at /b/, but today I want to pat their heads and say 'oh you'.
Much lulz, Me.
