But instead I'm posting to my journal. Yay.

Um, by the way, I'm on Myspace.

And my sister is informing me that my music is the reason why she stays in her apartment over the garage AND is the reason why she won't move in with me when I find an apartment. I feel rejected. :(

Aparently not everyone in the entire world thinks that Coin-Operated Boy by the Dresden Dolls is the BEST THING EVA!

Oh, and she thinks the soundtrack for Witch Hunter Robin sounds like a slasher-movie, which is not something she wanted to hear when the lights went out. WHat's up with that?

Soo, my writing. Currently I am working on three different stories. One, the one I really should be focusing on since it is the most likely to get published, is p0rn. Actually, it's 'Romantica' (the phrase is trademarked by Ellora's Cave. And if you are under 18 you did not see that link). Typical First Person Vamipire Porn, pretty much. A bit atypical in that the HERIONE is the vampire, but not too much. The villian is a wannabe Goth Kiddie she turned a few years ago. The hero's a vampire slayer/cop. Yeah. I'm trying to go easy on the ANGST, but I'm not really aiming for comedy either. I don't think comedy is that sexy.

I have a second story, also first person, that I like. It's loosely based on a trip I took with my father and grandfather a couple years ago to mine opals out in Nevada. In most epic-fanstasy novels there are magical jewels and stuff, and they rarely, if ever, adress how such magical items are produced. If they do, it's 'the drawfs mined it', and that's it. I think that's because the authors don't know anything about geology. Well, I spent my childhood camping trips out in the middle of fucking nowhere mining stuff like star garnets, thunder eggs, sunstones (Oregon's State Gem), agates, opals, and other stuff I can't even remember. It made for great childhood memories (like standing knee-deep in a ICE COLD RUSHING STREAM digging through the 'matrix' for star garnets. Yeah), so I might as well use the information gained. Anyways, the herione is trying to find her grandfather's opal mine because the opals in it had an usually high level of Water Magic in them. Trouble is, her grandfather had hidden the mine with some of that same magic, and did a little too good a job doing it. It's kind of like Eldorado, in a way. The opals are just like the opals that I mined with Dad and Grandpa, high in water and easily destroyed by drying out too fast. Oh, and its in a desert in which there are tons of wetlands, fed by spring water from artesian wells. Just like the mine that I visited. If you all ask nicely (is anyone reading this blog? Hello?), I might even post a excerpt from it.

My third story is more science fiction/romance. Genetic engineering on humans is illegal. That doesn't mean that people don't do it, though. The herione is a winged girl, in her late teens (I might change that to early 20's if I decide to send this to the Romance market rather then the SF market, some publishers are a big squishy about jailbait heriones), and she ran away from the foster home she had been placed in after the Lab that made her was raided. The Hero was a CIA-type agency guy (well, more like Section 9, but I'm trying not to do a blatant rip-off of Ghost In the Shell), who quit his job to chase after his ex-wife. I've barely started the plot. It involves leaks from the Super Secret Agency, Herione's foster family trying to locate her, herione learning to fly since her foster family clipped her wings before she could learn, herione's Secret Past which explains why she was created and which I haven't figured out yet, and MUCH ANGST.

Anyways, what are you all doing?
