Okay, so after months and months and MONTHS of hemming and hawing I FINALLY got my ass down to Concord's admissions department to talk to someone about their Dental Assistant and Medical Assistant programs. I was so wound up yesterday about my appointment today that I literally couldn't sleep until 8 in the morning, and I had really weird, livid dreams. Got up at 11:30, barely made it to my 1 pm appointment on time due to Traffic, and spoke to a very nice lady who wasn't scary at all.

I have no idea why I was freaking out. Can anyone explain this to me? Something about PICKING UP A PHONE AND TALKING TO A STRANGER, I guess. And then driving across town to a place I've never been to talk to that same stranger. Why is this a scary thing to do?

The program looks really solid, it's fully accredited by the American Dental Association, etc. Eight months, including an externship, and I could have a job that doesn't suck ass. The hire-rate is 93%. I am so happy. The classes are small, 15 people for the dental program, and you stay with the same group for the entire program.

Anyways, now I won't feel like I'm having to avoid talking to my parents about What I'm Going To Do With My Life. Yay me.
