Thinking about moving.
Jul. 4th, 2009 10:16 amTo put it bluntly, the unemployment rate of Oregon is over 13%. (that link shows the rate up to May, I know its higher now) I'm working for my parents right now remodeling a house, but when that's done I'm screwed. No other job. It sucks.
So, I'm seriously thinking about moving out of state. I was surprised to find that there are states that have unemployment rates that were 5% or less, so I think I'm going to move to one. Like the Dakotas, or Wyoming. Or somewhere else. I'd hate to move into a red state, but I may have to. I guess it depends on what the rent is in that state, I want a two bedroom apartment for less than $500 a month if I can get it.
If I move it'll be after PAX since we already have tickets and it would probable be too expensive to move across country and then come back for PAX. I'm going with my sister again. Anyways, there's enough of the house left to do to last the month I think, we have to paint the outside and put up the fence and probably a few other things that dad wants done. After PAX if I don't have a paying job I'm leaving, though.
5% unemployment rates, I can't believe it.
