All Hail Firefox!
Dec. 22nd, 2006 03:02 amI love this. I just downloaded Firefox for the first time ever. I love this thing. It has a spell check! Whenever I misspell (like that! Ha!) a word it underlines it in red, and if I right-click on it I can get a selection of suggested spellings. No clicking the 'check spelling and preview' box! No worrying about sites that don't have a spell check.
Also, there are so many free ad-ons, plugins, and extensions, it's great. There's feature that lets you do free or low cost internet phone calls to anywhere in the world, without any special hookups or anything. All you need is an internet connection and a land line or mobile phone. I downloaded it just for fun, it would certainly cut down on the cost of long distance.
There are so many, many goodies that I feel like a kid in a candy store. The best part is that it took me maybe a half and hour to download Firefox, and I'm on dial up. Also, it's supposedly more secure then Microsoft Explorer.
Now, if only I can find a adware/spyware/virus blocker/firewall/etc thingie that's as easy and fun as this thing I will die happy. My current thingie (Earthlink's Protector Suit) is so fucking annoying that I end up turning it off.
I know, I know. Computer stuff is not that interesting.
