The best Christmas Crack ever!
Dec. 25th, 2006 12:49 amNORAD tracks Santa.
For the non-Mercains/Canadians unfamiliar with NORAD, or this Christmas tradition, NORAD is the North American Air Defence Command (how that produced the acronym NORAD, I don't know). Normally NORAD tracks planes, missiles, and anything else that might enter our airspace.
Including Santa, apparently. Rudolph's red nose shows up beautifully on radar and satellite and the various 'strategically placed Santa Cams'. They have a great video right now of Santa passing over a sub in the Atlantic.
For those of you in Europe, Santa is now done delivering your presents so check your trees. It looks like he's done with North Africa as well, an is heading across the Atlantic.
Once he gets to North America fighter jets will escort him while he makes his rounds.
I'm sick and weepy and somehow this is the best thing ever.
