i wake up dizzy

Apparently I have an innerear infection. No symptoms other then extreme dizziness, like being hungover without the fun of the night-before. Posting from my regular computer is nausea-inducing, so I'm using my Andriod.

In other news we are now 2 for 3 in the catching feral cats department.

World's Worst Person tries to extort 19 year old girl

John Fitzgerald Page is a douchebag. [citation]

In addition to being a Mensa member, John Fitzgerald Page is also the CEO of the talent agency Modern Models, Inc. in Atlanta ("We are striving for classy, not 'edgy'!" Also, we prefer ONE of four hair colors - blonde, brown, black or red.") Except, according to one of his clients, it's a scam. What his agency does, it appears, is simply copy publicly listed casting calls and paste them into emails which he sends out to his clients—mostly young girls. Then he charges his "clients" a large commission for hooking them up with the role.

A 19-year-old girl realized what was going on and sent a "reply all" message to one of his all-client emails last week, telling them they would be better off just cutting out Page and auditioning for these roles themselves. Shortly after the girl—who I will call "Rebecca"—and her friend received a sprawling email from Page. Subject: "Your options: APOLOGIZE/SETTLE/GET SUED"

This guy is a complete douchenozzle and deserves every bit of shame there is in the world. Now, I wouldn't call him the worst man in the world, simply because I'm sure there's a few violent dictators out there slaughtering and raping their own people, but excluding those folks he's pretty slimy.

Maybe it's just a little thing, but when I make a polite service request *cough*complaint*cough* to get ONTD off my homepage I didn't expect that LiveJournal would immediately make the request private. I'm a paid user over there, and while I know better then to ask the sun and the moon, that doesn't mean it's entirely unreasonable for me to ask that a page i have PAID for not be cluttered with a community that I rather dislike. Even if it's a page I don't use all that much, it's still something I've PAID FOR. Sweeping my request under the rug is a little weird, you know?

Anyways, DW's free account features are superior to LJ's paid account features (ability to import content! nesting cuttags! No ads! ONTD being a mere shadow of itself!), so I made the switch. Never fear, LiveJournal friends, I'll be crossposting and using OpenID to comment, so it's not like I've disappeared into the aether.
