Apparently my computer is a total loss, so they're going to send me a new one. Probably not in time for PAX though. Thank God it was insured, so I'm not paying for a new one. My cat attacked my little plated lizard (see guy in icon) and ripped the hell out of his leg, but he's been recovering nicely. Said cat got to have 3 out of 4 legs stuck with various needles today, shots and being tested for FIV/FeLuk (negative) and will be having her girly bits removed next month. Oh, and I was pulled over for expired tags. Courtdate is Sep. 2 and I'm hoping to talk down the ticket.

This month has been pretty expensive, all things considered.

Ooh I like your new layout!

Also, i didn't realise you actually HAD a plated lizard! Or maybe I forgot you did..But good to know he's recovering. I didn't know there was a feline version of HIV! That's what FIV is, right? RIGHT?!Did I just jump to a crazy conclusion??? Maybe...

Anyway, as if you have to go to court. What ARE expired tags anyway? Something on your car?

yeah, I've had various plated lizards since 2001, and since no one uses it as a user name it makes me pretty identifable. This guy is the last one and they don't export that species from Madagascar anymore.

FIV is called feline AIDs, though I don't know if the viruses are related. It compromises their immusystems although not as badly, most FIV positive cats can live almost-normal life spans if they're kept indoors. It's passed through fighting, so unaltered toms are particularly prone to getting it. Feline Lukemia (sp?) is a virus that causes lukemia in them and is also passed through fights, so the tests and vaccines are done at the same time.

Tags are the cars' registration, since my car is newer it has to obey the Department of Eviromental Quality's standards for exhaust etc, and I have renew it every two years. I should have done it last November. They give you stickers that tell the month and year you need to renew to put on your license plates (in Oregon you are required to have two), and the cops can ticket you if they aren't up to date.

The cop also ticketed me for not having insurance, I though I'd renewed it but I guess I forgot. I've since renewed it. He DIDN'T ticket me for not having my license on me, I found it later underneath my driver's seat! So I was lucky. That was the day I my cat mauled my lizard and I was actually on my way to vet when I got pulled over.

That would be AWESOME. (and hey, LJ didn't send me an email notice for this comment) Um, since I'm using your computer I guess I should just directly talk to you in person? lol

EDIT: show how sick I am, you replied under my login. That's why I didn't get notification. That's why I need to remember to log out of this computer, lol.
