Things We Know About the Christmas Dog

She had bad teeth.
She's ok with cats, and loves humans, but doesn't like other dogs.
Her owner probably has a dark-colored pickup or SUV as she seems very interested in them.
She is used to eating canned food, and won't eat dry without it mixed in. This is probably why she has bad teeth.
She's an Akita.
She's not going to be staying at this house. Alas, while she seems fine with cats, the cats are not fine with her. Also, the new carpet. If I want to keep her, then I have to find an apartment that takes large dogs. Yay. I was already looking for an apartment as I wanted to adopt a greyhound, so this may just speed things up a little faster. Unfortunately, her lack of dog friendliness means I can't use her in class, at least until I've worked with her for a bit. It wouldn't look good for the instructor's dog to be dog-reactive or dog-aggressive, even if she was a stray.
We seem to have already named her, I was going to call her Noelle, because she appeared at our door on Christmas Eve, but Bear seems to have stuck instead. Also, she is starting to answer to it. I'm not sure this is a good thing.
