Okay, since I was able to sleep SO WELL Sunday night I decided to try again with the OTC sleeping pills, and promptly remembered why I don't use them so much anymore. They don't always work. I basically laid in bed for about five hours feeling stoned, while my thoughts Just Would Not Slow Down. It isn't always anxiety that keeps me sleepless, often times it's like last night where I was basically wondering what it would be like the first time I sit in an dental assistant's chair and help a doctor, or work in someone's mouth. Not worry, just thoughts that won't stop.

I did fall asleep sometime after one in the morning, so I suppose the pills helped somewhat.

Met with my personal trainer today, and we're working on a workout plan. I'm pretty good at running (two years ago I would NEVER have believed that I could say that! I'm so proud of myself!) but I know jack about weights and strength training. He says I'm actually really strong for someone who's never done more than the occasional pushup. I think I'm just supposed to be short and stout, lol. When I run I typically do 2-4 miles on the treadmill at five miles an hour. I'm not going to win any races, but I can keep it up and do it day after day. I'm kinda sorta thinking of entering the Starlight run (a run that precedes the Starlight Parade in Portland and follows the parade rout. Costumes aren't required but everybody likes to dress up, hey? My favorite group of runners were four guys who dressed as two salmon and two egg masses. They did a spawning dance in front of the news cameras, running the rout backwards, 'up stream'). I just might dress as a shinigami. Just maybe. No promises, although if I could find some other cosplayers to join me, that would be cool.
