This caught my attention because I just got insurance this week. Try i21.com. I got a six-month policy for an ungodly low amount, and I am *this* (holds thumb and forefinger together) close to bankruptcy.
I managed to avoid getting that counted against me because I paid for the entire thing in advance. If I had tried to get a monthly installment, or a payment plan, they would have checked my credit and probably rejected it (or charged me $200 per month but I digress).
That's about it... if I think of anything else I'll let you know.
